LinkStash is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit any information to external servers.

  • Links you save - URLs, titles, tags, and notes you manually add
  • Usage preferences - Pro status (local only)

  • ✗ Browsing history (other than links you explicitly save)
  • ✗ Personal information
  • ✗ Analytics or tracking data
  • ✗ Cookies from websites you visit
  • ✗ Your search queries

    • Data Storage


  • Location: All data stored locally using Chrome's storage API
  • Security: Data never leaves your device unless you export it
  • Control: You own your data 100%

    • Data Sharing


    We do NOT share, sell, or transmit your data to anyone. Period.


    Permissions Explained


    LinkStash requests these permissions:


  • storage - Save your links locally
  • tabs - Read current tab URL/title when saving
  • activeTab - Access active tab to save current page
  • contextMenus - Add "Save to LinkStash" to right-click menu

    • Your Rights


  • ✓ Export all your data anytime (JSON format)
  • ✓ Delete individual links or all data
  • ✓ Uninstall extension (removes all data)

    • Future Features (Cloud Sync)


    When cloud sync is added:

  • It will be opt-in only
  • Data will be encrypted
  • You can delete cloud data anytime
  • Free users won't require cloud sync
